Christmas music…just Tim and his piano. It’s the kind of music that soothes you.  Simply Christmas is an hour of peaceful Christmas music for the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.  It's full of the carols that you love.

• A few months ago I went into my favorite studio where I love to record with plans to record another upbeat project like my So Happy cd. I realize that most people who see me play live enjoy the livelier music and, in general, prefer a fast song to a slow one. And the marketing gurus tells us to give the people what they want. But I'm a musician and musician don't always listen well...it's that right brain over left brain, heart over head, just-plain-stubborn-because-I-want-to attitude...I chose to lay down some simple Christmas songs, medleys of my favorite carols.

  One of the reasons I like the 3ABN Sound Stage studio is because it's in a remote place..which translates to few distractions, it's a cozy atmosphere...feels like I'm playing at home, and the piano, a Yamaha C7, is my dream piano...so inspirational! 
  
  
  I played for about 2 hours following a list of song titles scribbled on a notepad. After a few alterations and a listen back, 'Simply Christmas' was born...a nearly painless experience!
• Someday I'll go into detail about the process between recording and the final product...
• But for now the cd is available to you just in time for the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season.
